Proposals for a new Active Travel crossing of the river Wye at Monmouth have taken a major step forward.

Transport for Wales has taken another leap forward in delivering the South Wales Metro by installing more than 6,500 metres of overhead electrification wires over the Christmas period.

Today, 5th January 2023, the programme of works to re-open the Menai Suspension Bridge begin. The programme is scheduled to be complete within 4 weeks, subject to adverse weather conditions.

Rail passengers are being urged to plan their journeys carefully this Saturday (26 November) with industrial action set to impact services across the Wales and Borders network.

Wales will be taking on Australia on Saturday November 26that Principality Stadium.   With the kick-off taking place at 3.15pm - there will be a full city centre road closure from 11.15am until 7.15pm to ensure all ticket holders can get into and out of the stadium safely.

In honour of Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday, Cardiff Bus is offering free travel to those who have and are currently serving in the armed forces as a token of gratitude of the service that these selfless veterans provide.

First Bus are offering free travel on all services to serving Armed Forces personnel, cadets and veterans on Remembrance Day (Friday 11th November), and Remembrance Sunday (13th November), so they can attend commemorative events.  The offer includes all services buses, including long-distance Clipper services. 

Stagecoach has confirmed its ongoing commitment to the armed forces by extending its new policy of free travel for veterans and military personnel to include cadets who wish to attend remembrance services. Free travel will be valid on its bus and tram services right across the UK on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday. 

Transport for Wales revealed the first of the brand-new electric buses at Euro Bus Expo in the NEC, Birmingham this week.

Rail services will be unavailable between Pontypridd and Treherbert on two separate occasions in November as Transport for Wales continues to make upgrades to the Core Valley Lines (CVL) for the South Wales Metro.
