Cardiff Half Marathon

One of Wales’s largest fundraising events is back this fall. The Principality Cardiff Half Marathon is returning Sunday (1st of October) with more than 25,000 participants.

The track will pass through some of Cardiff’s most iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, The Principality Stadium, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay, and Cardiff Civic Centre.

Visit the Cardiff Half Marathon website for more information about the event.

The city is expected to be exceptionally busy, so residents and visitors are advised to plan and leave plenty of time for their journey. Please check before you travel. Road closures for the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 1st.

Disruptions to public transport services are expected. Please check the below arrangements by operators before traveling. We will continue updating this page with more information as we receive it from operators.

Planned Industrial Action will affect public transport services over the weekend. Due to the large-scale disruption on rail, it is possible that road and bus travel will be impacted. Please expect busy services, delays, and cancellations.

Visit our Industrial Action disruption for more information before traveling here.
