Virtual Royal Welsh Winter Fair- November to December 2020

Whilst Covid-19 resulted in the cancellation of the iconic (physical) Royal Welsh Show in the summer, organisers have been hard at work behind the scenes to ensure the Royal Welsh Winter Fair can safely go ahead. Although, not in the way you might think.

Visitors usually flock to the event showground just outside Builth Wells to celebrate the agricultural industry and enjoy the magical Christmas market over 2 days of festivities. This year, the Winter Fair will be going virtual. The usual 2 day event will be showcased online on the 30th November and the 1st December. The event will become a hub for agricultural businesses to access vital information, create new contacts within the industry and also offer a range of informative sessions. There will also be competitions and online videos for the whole family to get involved in the festivities.

In addition, over a 6 period, the general public and members will be able to shop online from their favourite stalls and discover unique, locally sourced gifts at the online Christmas market. The market will be open from the beginning of November to ensure your gifts will arrive in time for Christmas and feature a directory of all last year’s trade stands.
Not only will the virtual Winter Fair offer a platform for stallholders to share their products with the public, it will also provide an opportunity to shine a light on the agricultural industry, Welsh produce and the environment.
