North Wales Choral Festival at Venue Cymru, Llandudno

North Wales Choral Festival at Venue Cymru, Llandudno- Friday 8th until Sunday 10th November 2019

Taking place at the renowned Venue Cymru from 9th-10th November, the North Wales Choral Festival will celebrate some of the very best choirs from around the world.

This weekend of fun and friendly competition, organised by Conwy County Borough Council, is recognised as one of the top Choral festivals in Wales. New elements have been introduced to the festival since its creation back in 1988 including competitions, workshops, concerts, community performances and more; you won’t want to miss it!

On Friday night, the Côr Meibion Maelgwn Male Voice Choir will kick off the weekend’s proceedings with songs sung in both the English and Welsh language. Welsh National Opera soprano Fflur Wyn, who is quickly becoming one of the country’s foremost operatic singers, will also perform.

Competitions will commence on Saturday with the Male Voice, Youth and Just for Fun categories up first, followed by the Ladies, Barbershop and Musicals categories on Sunday. One of the highlights of the weekend is the Festival Celebration Concert on Saturday evening, giving the choirs the chance to relax and enjoy their performance without the eyes of the adjudicators on them!

There are a range of tickets available for the Festival including day and competition passes. You can find out more about these on the North Wales Choral Festival website.
