Calling all Elvis enthusiasts! From 27th-29th September, the seaside town of Porthcawl will once again play host to the iconic ‘Elvis Festival’. As the largest festival of its kind, thousands of fans from around the world are expected to attend and be a part of this unique celebration of the one and only ‘King’.
The festival itself is comprised of 20 separate venues, making it the biggest Elvis event in Europe. This includes over 100 shows by Elvis tribute acts (organised by event sponsor Hi Tide), the Elvis Gospel Show, Elvis Orchestrated and lots of other fantastic competitions.
The weekend’s main events will take place in the stunning Grand Pavilion, recognised as one of the best preserved 1930’s dance halls in the country. On Friday afternoon, heat one of the ‘Best Festival Elvis Competition’ will be followed by a special evening performance to celebrate the Festival’s 15th anniversary. Heat two of the competition will take place on Saturday afternoon, culminating in the Grand Final later that day. Ending the day’s festivities will be the ‘The Elvies’, the world’s most prestigious Elvis Tribute Artists award show, on Saturday evening.
You can find out more about the event and purchase your tickets on the Elvis Festival website.
