Christmas at Cardiff Castle- Thursday 12th November 2020 to Sunday 3rd January 2021

Whilst Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland is usually the focal point for the capital’s festive celebrations, Covid restrictions mean that things will be a little different this year.*

*Following updated public health guidance, it has been decided that the Ice Walk attraction will remain closed.

From Thursday 12th November to Sunday 3rd January, Cardiff Castle will instead take centre stage as visitors get to enjoy ‘Christmas at the Castle’ in a Covid safe, socially distanced environment.

Old Winter Wonderland favourites including the iconic Big Wheel (where you will be able to see spectacular views across the city), festive family rides and Alpine Ski Hut bar will feature, as well as the Castle’s traditional Victorian Santa Tours where your little ones will be able to catch a glimpse of Santa himself in your own private household groups!

All eating and drinking areas, including the Castle’s Keep Dining Experience, will adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to ensure you can safely enjoy your sweet treats and other traditional Christmas goodies.

There may be a wait to enter the Castle grounds during peak times, so visitors are encouraged to visit at less busy times to help maintain safe social distancing.

To find out more about all the fantastic activities taking place this Christmas at Cardiff Castle and to book your Santa’s Private Victorian Tour experience, please visit the Cardiff Castle website.
