Castell Roc Festival, Chepstow Castle- Thursday 8th until Monday 26th August 2019

Chepstow Castle, found above the cliffs on the River Wye, is the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain. From 8th-26th August, these stunning grounds will play host to the much-loved Castell Roc Festival, internationally recognised for its relaxed atmosphere and wide variety of live entertainment.

This is a small and intimate event, perfect for festival goers of all ages. The festivities begin on Thursday 8th August with the spectacular ‘Legends of Roc’ show. Visitors will have the opportunity to see three top tribute shows for the price of one as acts dedicated to ‘Police’, ‘Dire Straits’ and ‘U2’ take to the stage.

Other highlights of the festival include:

  • Friday 9th August: ‘The Shires’- Having first performed at the festival in 2016, the Shires have become one of the most talked about acts in country music. They will be performing hits from their recently released smash-hit third studio album “Accidentally on Purpose”.
  • Saturday 10th August: ‘80s vs. 90s Extravaganza’- Join Spandau Ballet frontman Martin Kemp for the ultimate throwback party, celebrating the biggest and best artists from the golden years of pop.
  • Friday 16th August: ‘Showaddyaddy in Concert’- This Leicester band, formed in the 1970s, have sold more than 20 million records and toured music venues worldwide. You may recognise their number 1 hit ‘Under the Moon of Love’!
  • Sunday 18th August: ‘ABBA MANIA’- Sing along and say thank you for the music as ABBA MANIA take to the stage at Chepstow Castle, celebrating the work of one of the most successful bands of all time.
  • Friday 23rd August 2019: ‘A Night of Queen and Fleetwood Bac’- Following the roaring success of last year’s award winning ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and the announcement of Fleetwood Mac’s 2019 tour, join internationally renowned tribute acts the Bohemians and Fleetwood Bac for a truly spectacular celebration.
