Following a review of the current Public Transport Users Committee in 2013, the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport decided to establish new arrangements to provide her with expert advice on the issues that affect public transport users.

Following that decision, the Public Transport Users’ Committee is being wound up and a new Public Transport Users’ Advisory Panel is being established.

The Panel will be chaired by a publicly appointed and paid Chair who will also fulfil a wider role as expert adviser on public transport user matters.
