There is an emergency road closure in Montgomery on Thursday 10th Marc due to a burst water main in Pool Road between Forden Road (B4388) and Chirbury Road (B4386). The following Tanat Valley Coaches diversions will be in place until the road re-opens:
Service 71 Welshpool – Montgomery – Abermule -Newtown.
The bus will operate as now from Welshpool to Kingswood then divert via the A490 to Chirbury then to Montgomery. From there it will divert via the B4385 to the Bluebell Inn on the A489 then travel through Kerry to Newtown. It will miss out Abermule.
Service 81 Welshpool – Forden – Caerhowel – Montgomery – Chirbury – Churchstoke – Kerry – Newtown
The bus will operate as now from Welshpool to Forden then turn left pass the old mental hospital, across the B4386 through Hem to the A490 then via Chirbury and the B4386 to Montgomery. It will then continue on its normal route. It will miss out Caerhowel.
Service 558 Montgomery – Worthen – Shrewsbury
This is not affected by the road closure and will operate as normal.
