Transport for Wales Rail

1st & 8th October

The National Union of Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers (RMT) and ASLEF have announced strike action will take place on Saturday 1 and Saturday 8, which will significantly disrupt the rail network across the whole of the UK.

Transport for Wales is not involved in the industrial action. However, the industrial action resulting from the dispute between the unions and Network Rail means we’ll be unable to operate rail services on Network Rail infrastructure.

The majority of rail services across the Wales and Borders network will be suspended on 1 October.

Please plan ahead and make sure to check your entire journey.

5th October

The train drivers’ union ASLEF has announced strike action on Wednesday 5 October. Some TfW Rail services are likely to be extremely busy as a result of the severely-reduced timetable put in place by other operators.

Please plan ahead and make sure to check your entire journey.

First Cymru Bus

26th and 30th September

First Cymru have cancelled planned Strike Action on the 26th and 30th of September.

Disruptions on services are no longer expected.

Unfortunately, we are unable to update the Traveline Cymru Journey Planner, Timetable and Travel Map page to reflect real time information regarding bus and rail services affected by the Industrial Action.

Disruptions are expected on the days prior and after the industrial action. Due to the large-scale disruption on rail and bus, it is possible that road and bus travel will be impacted. Please expect busy services, delays, and cancellations.
