Due to significant driver shortages across the transport industry, many operators are having to change their service timetables or cancel services at late notice.

Short Notice Service Updates

Driver shortages across the transport industry mean some operators are changing timetables at short notice, which means our Journey Planner and Timetables page may not be up to date straight away. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Any updated timetables we receive from operators will be added below. Please check under the relevant operator’s name.

If there’s any information you believe to be incorrect or updated timetables that are missing, please email feedback@traveline.cymru and we will look into this for you as soon as possible.

South Wales Transport

From Monday 13th June 2022, there will be changes to some services in the Neath and Port Talbot areas.

202 – Neath – Port Talbot

This service will no longer continue to Port Talbot Parkway Station, instead terminating in Port Talbot Bus Station. Journeys from Neath towards Port Talbot will run 5 minutes later throughout, and the first two journeys of the day into Neath starting from Baglan are retimed to improve reliability. Following customer requests, the 1512 school day journey starting at Lodge Cross will now operate the full normal route into Port Talbot via Baglan Moors, Morrisons and Neath Port Talbot Hospital instead of running via Pentyla.

204 Neath – Caewathan

Times after 15:45 will change to improve reliability

251 – Neath – Ridgewood Gardens

Minor adjustments to running times throughout the day to improve reliability. Morning journeys between 8am and 9am are retimed to run earlier. There will be an additional journey serving Castle Drive Shops at 0841 following review and customer requests.

Transport for Wales Rail

TfW introduced an emergency rail timetable from 22 December, which equated to a reduction of between 10-15% of the standard timetable introduced on 12 December.

However, with staff absences continuing to increase, the decision has been taken to further reduce services from 3 January to ensure the company can provide a reliable service throughout this latest stage of the pandemic.

All customers are urged to check www.tfw.wales before travelling and follow the up-to-date guidance from the Welsh Government.

Late Notice Cancellations

Due to the driver shortages, some bus and train services are being cancelled at late notice (usually on the morning on the day of travel).

These late-notice cancellations are being announced on operator’s social media accounts, which we will also share via our own social media channels. You can access both Traveline Cymru’s and operator’s social media channels below:
