Bus services will be diverted on game days and queuing stations put in place at train stations. Please see below for relevant information from each transport operator.

Transport for Wales

On Saturday 20th November Cardiff Queen Street station will close at 18:30, please use Cardiff Central station.

If you're travelling from Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot or Bridgend, please use the following services as they offer more space:

  • Trains will be extremely busy in the Cardiff area, especially Valleys services - use the TfW Capacity Checker to find trains with space.

  • Please use the earliest train service possible to travel into Cardiff. 

  • You must have a valid ticket for your journey before getting on the train - ticket checks will be in operation. Buy tickets before travel or use the TfW Rail app.

  • A queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central Station after the game.

Newport Bus

Due to the Autumn International rugby events taking at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Service 30 will end and start from Greyfriars Road bus stop on the following days and times:

  • Saturday 30th October from 13:15 until 20:30
  • Saturday 6th Saturday from 13:15 until 20:30
  • Sunday 14th November from 11:15 until 18:15
  • Saturday 20th November from 13:15 until 20:30

Road Closures in Cardiff City Centre due to events in the Principality Stadium means buses will be diverted to Greyfriars Road:

Additional Diversions to Specific Services as follows: 

Service 122/124: Will be diverted via Gabalfa Interchange & North Road during any road closures and will not serve Cathedral Road. 

Outside of these times, services will start from and finish at their normal stops.
