The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close the following sections of roads during the specified dates and times or until the works are completed.
Phase 1
- Nantgarw Roundabout to Nantgarw Junction
- Nantgarw Junction to A470 Northbound Slip Road
Alternative route – From the western side of the closure proceed via Oxford Street (A4054), Main Avenue (A4054), A470.
It is expected to be in operation from 2200 hours on 30th May to 0600 hours on 31st May 2019.
Phase 2
- A470 Southbound to Nantgarw Junction Slip Road
- Northern side of Nantgarw Junction between Nantgarw Junction to A470 Northbound slip road and A470 Southbound Slip Road with Nantgarw Junction
- Nantgarw Junction from Southbound Slip road with Nantgarw Junction to Caerphilly Road (A468) westbound and its junction with Nantgarw Junction
Alternative Route – from the western side of the closure proceed via A470 (Northbound), A470 (Southbound), A470 Northern Avenue, A469 Caerphilly Road, A469 Thornhill Road, A469 Watford Road.
It is expected to be in operation from 2200 hours on 31st May to 0600 hours on 1st June 2019.
Phase 3
- Caerphilly Road (A468) from its junction with Heol-YDderwen, south westward to its junction with Nantgarw
Junction - Nantgarw Junction, from its junction with Caerphilly Road (A468) eastbound, clockwise to its junction with A470 northbound slip road to Nantgarw Junction
- Nantgarw Junction slip road to A470 Southbound
Alternative route – from the northern side of the closure proceed via Caerphilly Road (A468), A469, Watford Road (A469), Thornhill Road (A469), Caerphilly Road (A469), A470.
It is expected to be in operation from 2200 hours on 3rd June to 0400 hours on 4th June 2019.
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road.
