A great experience for rugby fans, Judgement Day V will see all four Welsh regions come together at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

Road Closures

There will be a full city centre road closure from 12:30 – 20:30pm.

However from early in the day (7am) Scott Rd & Park St will be closed as a result of the need to prepare Gate 5 and to protect queuing fans.

For a full road closure the following roads are closed:

  • Kingsway from its junction with North Rd to its junction with Duke St.
  • Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Rd to its junction with Westgate St.
  • Tudor St from its junction with Clare Rd to its junction with Wood St (access for residents & traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment)
  • Plantagenet St & Beauchamp St from their junctions with Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor St (access for residents & traders will be permitted)
  • Saunders Road from its junction with St Mary Street
  • Customhouse Street throughout its length (access to private car parks will be permitted)
  • Penarth Road from its junction with Saunders Road to the entrance leading into the rear of the Central Train Station
  • The following roads will be closed in their entirety: - Duke St, Castle St, High St, St.Mary St, Caroline St, Wood St, Central Sq, Westgate St, Quay St, Guildhall Pl, Golate, Park St, Havelock St & Scott Rd. 

Additions:

  • Civic Centre: Access to part of the Civic Centre will be controlled throughout the day, with access allowed only for rugby parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks. Roads affected include: King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road & Gorsedd Gardens Road
  • Station Terrace in its entirety will be closed from 18:30pm – until train queues disperse (expected to be about 21:30) – cars will be able to exit the Capitol Shopping centre car park via North Edward St / Station Terrace northbound onto Newport Rd / Dumfries place.

 

Cardiff Bus

Newport Bus

Between 12:00 and 21:00 the 30 Newport - Cardiff service will terminate and depart from Greyfriars Road (Stand GG). This is due to road closures in Cardiff City Centre for the Judgement Day Rugby matches held at the Principality Stadium.

Please note there will be no effect to the X30 service. 

Stagecoach Bus

Most Stagecoach buses will start and terminate at Greyfriars Road all day.

Bus 25 will start/end at Greyfriars Rd.

Buses 122 and 124 will not serve Cathedral Rd, but will run via North Rd to/from Greyfriars Rd.

Bus 132 will run to/from Cardiff Bay via Dumfries Pl. / north via Greyfriars Rd.
