In honour of Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday, Cardiff Bus is offering free travel to those who have and are currently serving in the armed forces as a token of gratitude of the service that these selfless veterans provide.

Customers travelling on Friday 11th and Sunday 13th November 2022 dressed in military uniform or can provide proof of serving in the forces will be eligible to travel for free on Cardiff Bus services*.

To further show their appreciation, at 11am on Friday 11th November and again at 11am on Sunday 13th November, drivers will stop buses where appropriate and pause for 2 minutes to show their support for the national silence, in remembrance of those who lost their lives fighting for their country.

Gareth Stevens, Commercial Director at Cardiff Bus, said: “Many of our customers and staff have service personnel amongst their friends and family who will be travelling to various Remembrance events this week, and we are proud to be able to support them with free travel.

“We wanted to show a small token of our gratitude for their years of service and play a part in remembering those who have been lost in action.”
