Barry Island Festival of Transport 2016, Sunday 12th June

07 June 2016

Barry Island Festival of Transport 2016 is taking place on Sunday 12th June.

Over 400 visiting vehicles are expected, from classic cars and heritage buses to some new vehicles. Cardiff Transport Preservation Group will also be offering free heritage bus trips during the day, and the Vale of Glamorgan Council and supporting the Festival of Transport.

The heritage bus group has vehicles stretching back to the 1940s, but this year sees 6 vehicles in their care reach the magic 50 years old mark.

This year will also see a visit from the Royal Air Force aerobatic team and the Red Arrows, who will do a display over Barry Island seafront at midday (12:00), subject to Air Traffic Control clearing a six mile no-fly zone.
