For most bus journeys, you can now discover your cheapest ticket option depending on your journey type. This includes single, return, day, weekly, monthly, journeys using a mytravelpass and more.
Simply use our Journey Planner to look for route options between your chosen locations, click the ‘View Fares for this Service’ button at the bottom of your search result box and discover what ticket option is best value for money for your bus journey. This includes journeys that involve using multiple buses.
This fares information is obtained from the bus operators and local councils and we endeavour to ensure it is regularly updated. If you believe any of our fares information is outdated, please contact us at feedback@traveline.cymru and we will look to update it as soon as possible.
If you would like to find out more about the fares for a specific bus operator, please visit the operator’s website for more information, links to which can be found on our Useful Links page here.
Tickets on all local and long distance bus services in Wales are sold by the bus driver. However for some coach services, such as National Express and Megabus, it is advisable to book tickets in advance via the company’s website as all seats can be reserved.
We are currently unable to take you to an online bus ticket purchasing facility – this is however a project we are working on. In the meantime some of the larger Bus Operators do have that facility and you can find them here.
If you’re interested in purchasing multi operator tickets, please see the links below for further information on what is available:

For technical reasons we cannot show Train fares in the same way as we do for Bus; however when you plan a journey that involves a train you will see a 'Buy Train Tickets’ option; if you click through you will be taken to the Transport for Wales booking system, where you can buy your ticket regardless of which train company you are using.
In light of the pandemic, there will be a 6 month extension to all Transport for Wales Railcards.
Please visit the Transport for Wales Rail website for more information on the extension of these and other railcards.
