Swansea University Arrivals & Freshers' Week

Due to the number of vehicles and people expected at both Singleton and Bay Campus during arrivals and Freshers' Week, First Cymru will need to adjust their services in order maintain public safety and the reliability of their services.

10th September - 5th October 2017.
No services will operate into Singleton Campus or Singleton Hospital.
Services will pick up and drop off on Mumbles Road and Sketty Lane.
Normal service will resume on 6th October 2017.

21st September - 24th September
Services will be unable to enter Bay Campus and will pick up and drop off on Fabian Way.

22nd September - 23rd September
Buses will be unable to enter Hendrefoilan student village on these two days so buses will pick up and drop off on Gower Road at the bus stops closest to the village.

24th September
The Admiral Swansea Bay 10K Race is to be held on Sunday 24th September 2017 and will require temporary road closures to accommodate the event. The race is due to start forming in Mumbles Road near the Swansea Rugby and Cricket Ground at about 12.00pm with an actual race start time of 1.00pm and an anticipated finish time of about 2.00pm.

In order to cover any contingencies, the road closures will be between 11.30am and 3.00pm although it is anticipated that the roads will be closed for less time and on a rolling closure basis as the race progresses.

During the closure all Mumbles bound services will only operate as far as Singleton Hospital and will operate via Uplands and Sketty Lane in both directions.

Service 4 will terminate in the bus station and any customers wishing to travel to the hospital will be able to do so on Mumbles services.

Service 8 will operate via Uplands and Sketty Lane in both directions.
