Stagecoach South Wales

From Monday 1st April 2019, there will be changes to fares on a number of Stagecoach services in Powys. The following services are affected:

  • New fares apply on 40A, 40B, 40C  Brecon Town Services  and 43/X43 Brecon - Crickhowell -Abergaveny
  • New fares apply on T4 north of Brecon (Bishops Meadow) and T14 Bishops Meadow- Three Cocks Fares will also be revised to/from the above area for Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd & Cardiff.

 

Powys Day Rover ticket:

Adult- £9.00

Child/mytravelpass- £6.00

Family up to 2 adults 3 children- £18.00

 

TrawsCymru Day Ticket (and will be valid on 43/X43)

Adult- £11

Child- £7.30

 

Changes to ‘Valley Lines Explorer’ ticket

Please be aware that, from 1st April 2019, the ‘Valley Lines Explorer’ ticket will include the following morning restriction:

On Mondays to Fridays, the ticket will not valid on trains before 09.14

  • A Stagecoach ‘Valley Lines Explorer Ticket’ issued on bus remains valid on the valleys network: Cardiff, Penarth, Barry to/from Maesteg, Bridgend, Treherbert, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhymney and Ebbw Vale.
  • They are NOT valid on trains to/from Newport or on the railway line though Cwmbran or Abergavenny.
  • No change in prices on bus, they remain £11.00 Adult , £5.50 Child
  • The tickets can be issued and used at any time, any day of the week, for travel on the bus. 

Transport for Wales RAIL Explore Cardiff & Valleys day ticket continues to be valid on all Stagecoach in South Wales buses (validity as ‘All Zones’ dayrider  - excludes north of Felinfach/ Three Cocks in Powys) and are currently priced at £13.00 Adult and £6.50 Child.

There is no “mytravelpass” version of the bus and rail ticket for those aged 16 to Under 22.
