You can use your Welsh Concessionary Bus Pass on all local bus services in Wales. You cannot use your Welsh pass for travel in England and you cannot use your English pass for travel in Wales.
Please be aware that your concessionary pass cannot be used on coach services such as National Express or Megabus. National Express do offer a Senior Coachcard for people over 60, which you can find more details here by clicking here.
You can apply for your bus pass on the Transport for Wales website or ask a friend, family member or someone you trust to apply online on your behalf. Online is the quickest way to apply and receive your card.

If you live in Wales, over 60s and disabled people can travel free on local buses in Wales with a Concessionary Bus Pass at any time - there are no time restrictions. People living in Wales can also use their passes to travel free on cross-boundary journeys in and out of England, providing the journey starts or finishes in Wales. |
Transport for Wales |
If you have a Concessionary Travel Pass from a Welsh Local Authority, you can travel for free on many Transport for Wales trains. You can travel between: Wrexham – Hawarden Bridge
You will also get 1/3 off tickets to travel on the Cardiff and Valley network after 09:30 Monday - Friday and any time at weekends and bank holidays. For more information, please visit the Transport for Wales website. |

755 & 761 Passengers can go as far as Chepstow on an English pass. Welsh passengers can travel from Chepstow (755) as far as Lydney (Where the route terminates) or Beachley (761) they cannot transfer to another service England to England only England back into wales. |

You can travel for free on all local bus services anywhere in Wales. You can also use it on some Stagecoach journeys across the border into England:
between Hereford and Pontrilas on routes X3 and X4 between Hereford and Harewood Turn on route 39 between Bristol and Aust on route X14 between Redbrook and Bigsweir Bridge on route 69
Additionally, if you are resident in the following areas, you (and your companion, where applicable) will be entitled to free travel from 0900 on Mondays to Fridays locally within the listed areas, and for cross boundary journeys into Wales providing your journey either starts or ends in Bristol or South Gloucestershire, and no change of bus is required. Further onward travel (i.e., to Newport or Cardiff) will necessitate the payment of the equivalent single or concessionary single fare. These enhancements are available on route X14 to pass holders from the four authorities listed below only:
South Gloucestershire Bristol City Bath & North East Somerset North Somerset
The only concession available to those from outside Wales (other than with a Herefordshire pass) is the Daily or Weekly Network Rider.
Only Herefordshire pass holders can travel cross boundary. They can therefore travel free from Hereford to Pontrilas but will have to pay from Pontrilas to Abergavenny. |
