Sandman Triathlon, Anglesey- Saturday 14th until Sunday 15th September 2019

Thousands of daring competitors are expected to take part in the Superfeet Sandman Triathlon from Saturday 14th until Sunday 15th September. Participants of all abilities can take on any of the four thrilling race distances, ranging from Sprint, Full, Savage and Legend 72.4. Competitors also have the option to compete as a relay team in both the full and sprint distances.

The start and finish of each distance are set in the stunning 700 hectare woods of the Newborough Forest, adjacent to the world famous Llanddwyn Beach. Those competing in the Sprint Triathlon will undertake a 400 metre swim, followed by a 25 km cycle and a gruelling 5kn run. For those looking for an even bigger challenge, the Legend 72.4 Triathlon comprises of an epic 1900 metre open water swim, a 93km cycle and a 20km run.

Also taking place on the Saturday is the Superfeet Sandman Duathlon, perfect for those wanting to take on a new racing challenge without the open water swim. Duathletes start with a 2.1km run through Newborough Forest, before making their way onto the beach to start their incredible 30km cycle.

You can find all the race day and registration information you need on the Sandman Triathlon website. Even if you’re not ready for a Triathlon or Duathlon yet, head along to show your support!
