Known as one of the biggest and best agricultural shows in Britain, the Royal Welsh Show once again returns to Llanelwedd for a week of exciting livestock competitions, attractions and displays from Monday 22nd until Thursday 25th July.
Each day of the event is jam-packed with a 12 hour programme of activities for the whole family to enjoy. From forestry to horticulture, countryside sports to arts and crafts. Monday’s highlights include the hotly contested Cattle and Sheep livestock competitions, as well as the Wales Young Farmers Club Machine Shearing and Wool handling Competitions. On Tuesday, visitors won’t want to miss the flypast by Lockheed C130 Hercules Transport aircraft or a performance by the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh. Wednesday sees a whole host of nail-biting Cattle, Sheep, Horse and Pig Championships, alongside a parade of the prizewinning stock. The event’s final day also marks the final Sheep Dog Trails- Open Trial Championship and a celebration of 100 years of agriculture. You can see the full Royal Welsh jam-packed programme here.
There will also be a delicious range of locally sourced food and drink available in the Food Hall, which is open each day of the event. Whether you want to try some locally distilled gin, local Welsh cheeses, homemade baked goods or some carefully crafted sweet treats. This is a must-visit attraction of the show!
