Rolling Stones: No Filter Tour. Principality Stadium, Cardiff. Friday 15th June 2018

The Rolling Stones are back with their No Filter tour. Fans will be treated to a set list packed full of classics, but each night they will include a couple of unexpected tracks and randomly selected surprises from their formidable arsenal of songs.

Road closures

There will be a partial city centre road closure from 5:30pm – 11:30pm.

However from early in the day (7am) Scott Rd & Park St will be closed as a result of the need to prepare Gate 5 and to protect queuing fans, with access being maintained until the roads are fully closed, however we request vehicles are reduced from 3pm that are parked on the highway along Park Street to assist us with the queuing system installation.

For a partial road closure the following roads are closed:

  • Tudor St from its junction with Clare Rd to its junction with Wood St (access for residents & traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment)
  • Plantagenet St & Beauchamp St from their junctions with Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor St (access for residents & traders will be permitted)
  • Saunders Road from its junction with St Mary Street
  • Customhouse Street throughout its length (access to private car parks will be permitted)
  • Penarth Road from its junction with Saunders Road to the entrance leading into the rear of the Central Train Station
  • The following roads will be closed in their entirety: - High St, St.Mary St, Caroline St, Wood St, Central Sq, Westgate St, Quay St, Guildhall Pl, Golate, Park St, Havelock St & Scott Rd.

Additions:

  • Civic Centre: Access to part of the Civic Centre will be controlled throughout the day, with access allowed only for concert parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks. Roads affected include: King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road & Gorsedd Gardens Road

Please Note:

  • If there are any safety concerns in connection with crowds queuing to go into the venue prior to gates opening there may be a need to close Wood St & / or Westgate St earlier.
  • Post event there may be a need to put a lane closure, or hold traffic on Cowbridge Rd East / Castle St adjacent to Gate 1.
  • If there are any safety concerns in connection with the Central Station queuing systems then in Station Terrace, Wood Street, Westgate Street, Park Street, Havelock Street, St Mary Street, Penarth Road, Saunders Road and Custom House Street will remain closed until safety concerns are remedied.


Cardiff Bus

Diversions will be in place from 15:00 to the last bus.

Stagecoach Bus

All Stagecoach buses will end and start at Greyfriars Road after 15:00 and for the rest of the day.

Buses 122 and 124 from 15:00 and the rest of the day will not serve Cathedral Road, but will run via North Road to and from Greyfriars Road,

Bus 25 will not serve Cardiff Bay after 15:00.
