Cowbridge Music Festival- Friday 6th until Saturday 21st September 2019

Recognised for its exceptional quality and display of world class talent, the idyllic old market town of Cowbridge will once again play host to the renowned Cowbridge Music Festival. The event will place over 2 weeks across various venues in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, marking a whole decade since the festival first began. This will also be a celebration of the festival’s innovative outreach programme that has offered a unique platform for hundreds of young and aspiring musicians.

This special 10 year anniversary programme features more than 30 exciting events for audiences to enjoy, with highlights including:

  • ‘Jess Gillam in Recital’, Friday 6th September- Jess Gillam became the first ever saxophonists to reach the final of BBC Young Musician of the Year back in 2016 and is now recognised as once the UK’s most exciting new young talents.
  • ‘The Remi Harris Duo’, Sunday 8th September- Remi Harris returns to the festival to treat audiences to his eclectic mix of gypsy swing, jazz and blues.
  • ‘The Aronowitz Piano Trio’, Thursday 12th September- highly regarded British pianist Tom Poster returns to the Cowbridge Music Festival, this time alongside Magnus Johnston and Pierre Doumenge.
  • ‘A Tribute to Benny Goodman’, Saturday 21st September- Closing the 2019 festival is the Julian Bliss Jazz Septet, who will be paying tribute to the late great swinging sensation Benny Goodman.

There is also a host of fantastic Fringe events taking place over the 2 week festival, including the ‘Young Musicians of South Wales’, ‘Jazz Supper’, ‘Jazz Brunch’ and ‘The Great Cowbridge Singalong’.

You can see the full event programme and purchase your tickets on the Cowbridge Music Festival website.
