Cardiff Winter Wonderland

Cardiff Winter Wonderland, Friday 8th November 2019 until Sunday 5th January 2020

From Friday 8th November until Sunday 5th January, City Hall Lawns in Cardiff’s City centre will be transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland full of festive fun for the whole family to enjoy.

The Admiral Ice Rink will be open from 8th November right through until 5th January. Ticket prices start at £9 for children and £11 for adults, and can be purchased on the day or in advance. New for this year is the Alpine Ice Trail. The Trail will be an open-air ice-skating experience running 250m long, making it one of the longest Ice Trails in Europe.

Once you’ve shown off your skating skills, why not take a ride on the new Winter Wonderland Ferris Wheel and soak up the breath-taking views of Cardiff’s iconic skyline? There will also be lots of funfair rides and stalls. If heights and rides are not for you, the Sur La Piste Bar is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and indulge in a sumptuous glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate in this cosy wooden chalet. You can find other festive snacks and sweet treats in the new food area.

If that wasn’t enough, Cardiff’s Christmas Market is the ideal place to buy a range of beautiful handmade gifts. Both new and returning exhibitors will be on hand to show you their stunning range of artwork, crafts, and locally sourced food and drink. The market is located along various pedestrian streets across the city centre and will also run from Friday 8th November until Sunday 5th January.

For more information and to purchase your ice skating tickets, please visit the official Cardiff Winter Wonderland website.
