Kicking off its seven and a half week stint, Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland returns to Cardiff City Hall Lawn on Thursday 15th November. With an undercover ice rink, funfair attractions, and delicious festive treats. There is something for everyone to enjoy against the stunning backdrop of Cardiff’s city centre.
The Admiral Ice Rink runs from 15th November to January 6th with ticket prices starting from £7. These can be purchased on the day or in advance for a slightly lower price. This year, the rink is introducing ‘Relaxed Access Sessions’ for those that would benefit from a calmer skating environment.
Once you’ve shown off your skating skills, experience the thrills of the Funfair (located right next door). New for 2018, The Drop Tower is certainly not for the faint hearted with a massive 90m drop. Also new for this year, Sur La Piste Bar is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a sumptuous glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate in this cosy wooden chalet. You can find other festive snacks and sweet treats in the new food area.
Haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet? No problem. Cardiff Christmas Market is the ideal place to buy a range of beautiful handmade gifts for all the family. Both new and returning exhibitors will be on hand to show you their stunning range of artwork, crafts, and locally sourced food and drink. The market is located along various pedestrian streets across the city centre and will also run from 15th November to January 6th.
