Beacons Ultra and Trail Marathons

Beacons Ultra and Trail Marathons- Saturday 16th November 2019

This year’s Beacons Ultra and Beacons Trail Marathon events will be held on Saturday 16th November. Attracting participants of all abilities from across Wales and beyond, these events are known to have taken place in everything from sparkling sunshine to sub-zero temperatures. However, the event remains well known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere (with a hint of competitive spirit!)

The Beacons Ultra is a mammoth 46 mile mixed trail, mountain, canal and road run around the magnificent Brecon Beacons. Whilst pushing themselves to their physical and mental limits, competitors are also treated to breath-taking views as they make their way along this strenuous race route.

Following its success in 2018, the Beacons Trail Marathon returns for a second year. At a slightly shorter 26 miles, the course follows the classic Beacons Ultra route with the addition of a climb up Pen Y Fan (also known as the highest peak in South Wales!).

Registration for both events take place on Friday night and Saturday evening Race HQ (Henderson Hall, Talybont-on-Usk). The Ultra event starts at 7:30am and the Trail Marathon at 10:00am.

If you would like to register or find out more about these events, please visit the Beacons Ultra and Beacons Trail Marathons pages.
