2019 ManbetX Welsh Open Snooker at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff- 11th to 17th February

128 of the world’s best snooker players will descend upon the Welsh capital this February to compete in the 2019 ManbetX Welsh Open. Established in 1992, this is snooker’s longest running world event (other than the World and UK Championships).

Last year’s weeklong championships culminated in a thrilling final battle between John Higgins and Barry Hawkins. However, it was Higgins who ultimately claimed victory for a record breaking 5th time after a 9-7 win. Other snooker greats such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, and Blaenau Gwent born Mark Williams also took part in this final event of the 2018/19 Home Nations series.

This year, players will once again compete for the coveted Ray Reardon Trophy. Organisers have urged fans to buy tickets early as they are expected to sell out fast. Tickets start at £8, whilst all day tickets for the final on Sunday 17th can be purchased for £55. Fans can also get their hands on an Event pass, which grants them access to every session throughout the event, for £160.

To find out more about the Welsh Open, and to purchase your tickets, you can visit the event’s website.
