Sinemaes is an innovate and collaborate project co-ordinated by BAFTA Cymru, who bring together partners from across the Welsh film and television industry to offer film-related activities, screenings and masterclasses to attendees at the National Eisteddfod.
The National Eisteddfod is a weeklong celebration of Wales’ rich language and culture. The festival, which will be held in Llanrwst between the 3rd and 10th August, travels between North and South Wales alternately each year.
Traveline Cymru are thrilled to be a partnering with Sinemaes for this year’s event as they continue to help audiences discover more about Welsh screen talent and opportunities for their future through the medium of Welsh.
This is the fourth time that Sinemaes has featured at the National Eisteddfod, having first burst onto the scene in 2016. The festival’s 150,000 visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Sinemaes’ tent along the Maes and engage with a range of activities across an exciting 8-day programme. This includes screenings of new and archive films, workshops for children, discussion panels, networking events and masterclasses, all with the aim of promoting Welsh screen content.
