CTA Appoints new Director for Wales

25 April 2017

CTA have appointed a new Director for Wales, Christine Boston. Please see their statement below.

As you know we’ve recently been recruiting for a new Director to lead CTA’s work in Wales. I'm very pleased to let you know that we have appointed Christine Boston and I am sure you are all going to enjoy working with her.

Christine is currently Corporate Policy Lead at Cardiff City Council and brings a strong record of success in making transport more accessible and inclusive through her previous role leading policy and research at Chwarae Teg. There she led significant and award-winning campaigns which improved access to transport through fairer and more flexible ticketing.

Christine also knows how to work effectively with our political institutions in Wales and will play a big role in creating even more interest and investment in the contribution you make to transforming lives and communities.

Christine will start in the middle of May, which is only three weeks away, and will be in touch to introduce herself then.

In the meantime, Christine asked me to pass on this message to our members and supporters in Wales:

“With a passion for both transport and inclusion, I am looking forward to working with staff and members to progress the agenda for community transport in Wales.  This is an important time as we face significant economic and political challenges, however, with challenge comes opportunity and my priority will be to ensure greater awareness of the fantastic work being delivered across the sector and the difference this makes to people’s lives.”

I’m sure you will all join with me in welcoming Christine to CTA.

Best wishes,

Bill Freeman, Chief Executive CTA
