Have your say on Cardiff’s Walking and Cycling Networks: Existing Route Map Consultation

21 October 2015

The Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 places a duty on local authorities to plan for, improve, and promote routes for walking and cycling for every day journeys. In order to meet this duty, local authorities must publish an Existing Routes Map which shows routes which are suitable for walking or cycling and which meet the standards set out in the Welsh Government’s Active Travel Design.

The Draft Existing Routes Map for Cardiff is now available and Cardiff Council want your views on the suitability of the routes shown on the Draft Existing Routes Map.

They would also welcome your suggestions for future improvements to walking and cycling routes in Cardiff, which will contribute to the development of the Integrated Network Map, a 15 year plan for future walking and cycling improvements.

Details about the consultation, including the maps and an online survey, are available at www.cardiff.gov.uk/activetravel

The closing date for comments is 29th December 2015.
