No Trains between Cardiff Central and Newport this weekend

23 June 2015

Due to essential Network Rail signalling improvement work, the railway lines between Cardiff Central and Newport will be closed all day on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June.

This means that there will be no train services running between Cardiff Central and Newport for the whole of the weekend.

This will affect all the train companies (Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry and First Great Western) that operate services between these stations and will affect services between South Wales and London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and North Wales.

A frequent replacement bus service will run between Cardiff Central and Newport in both directions and the location of the bus stops - Cardiff Central (Penarth Rd/near car park exit) - will be well signposted.

Please allow extra time for your journey, and check for more information with Arriva Trains Wales.
