We are nearing the end of a long process of adding Bus Fares to the website, so that when you plan a journey you can see the Adult and Child single and return Fares, with some ‘day’ ticket options. Currently around 80% of all requested journeys do show a Fare. The Fares information is obtained from the Bus Operators and Local Councils, and we endeavour to ensure it is regularly updated. Please be aware though that sometimes we are not told about changes and so the Fares quoted here cannot be guaranteed.
Bus Fares information for your journey can be found through our journey planner results. Underneath the journey details, you will see a tab called ‘View Fares’. Click on this, and a list of available ticket prices will be displayed.
If you would like to find out more about the fares for a specific bus operator, please visit the operator’s website for more information, links to which can be found on our Useful Links page here.
Tickets on all local and long distance bus services in Wales are sold by the bus driver. However for some coach services, such as National Express and Megabus, it is advisable to book tickets in advance via the company’s website as all seats can be reserved.
We are currently unable to take you to an online bus ticket purchasing facility – this is however a project we are working on. In the meantime some of the larger Bus Operators do have that facility and you can find them here.

For technical reasons we cannot show Train fares in the same way as we do for Bus; however when you plan a journey that involves a train you will see a 'Buy Train Tickets’ option; if you click through you will be taken to Arriva Trains Wales booking system, where you can buy your ticket regardless of which train company you are using.
