Pride Cymru's Big Weekend, Cardiff. 25th - 27th August 2017

Cardiff City road closures

A road closure will be in place from 8am – 12noon to facilitate the gathering of those taking part in the parade on: Windsor Lane, Windsor Place, access / exit from Park Lane will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

Between 11am – 2pm the road closures to facilitate the parade will be as below:

North Rd from its junction with Column Rd to its junction with Kingsway.

Corbett Rd, access for residents of Queen Anne Square maintained.

Boulevard de Nantes, access westbound for buses and vehicles requiring access to Greyfriars Rd maintained.

Kingsway from its junction with The Friary / Greyfriars Rd to its junction with Duke St.

Duke St, Castle St to its junction with Westgate St.

High St, St Mary St to its junction with Tresillian Way. Customhouse St, Mill Lane and Canal St.

Wood St eastbound from its junction with Havelock St to its junction with St Mary St. Wood St westbound is closed between its junction with St Mary St and its junction with Westgate St.

Bakers Row, Wharton St and Guildhall Place. (Counter terrorism bollards at the St Mary St end of Guildhall Place and Golate will be raised for the period of the road closure)

The parade route will be as follows:

Queen St westbound to the junction with Duke St

Left southbound along St John St, Working St, through The Hayes.

Southbound along Mill Lane to its junction with Customhouse St.

Left into Lower St Mary Street.

Northbound along St Mary St and High Street.

Left onto Duke St and then northbound up Kingsway until its junction with North Rd.

The parade continues northbound up North Rd until the junction of City Hall Rd where it disperses into the event site of the Civic centre via City Hall Road and Boulevard de Nantes over Procession Way into King Edward VII.

As part of PRIDE Festival Street Party, Churchill way from its junction with North Edward Street to Queen Street will be closed from Friday 25th August 10am – Sunday 27th 12noon.
