Disruptions

Cardiff Bus

In addition to the Rhydhelig diversions which will be in place for approx 3 weeks from Thursday 22 June, the following diversions will be in place from 20:00 on Friday 23rd and all day on Saturday 24th of June.

Central Way and Academic Avenue in UHW Heath Hospital will close to traffic from 20:00 on Friday 23rd and all day on Saturday 24th of June. 

During this time, buses will divert as follows:

Service 1
Buses will follow their normal route to Gabalfa Interchange then divert via the A48 slip road and The Gateway (A&E) to Ty Maeth before continuing along its normal route.

Service 2
Buses will follow their normal route to Heath Hospital (Ty Maeth) then divert via the A48 overbridge to Gabalfa Interchange and Western Avenue slip road before continuing along its normal route.  Please note, this service will only serve the Ty Maeth bus stop within the hospital grounds. 

Service 8, 9 and 9A
Journeys towards Heath Hospital will follow their normal route to Whitchurch Road then divert via A48 slip road and The Gateway (A&E) where they will end their journeys. 
Journeys from the hospital will start on The Gateway (A&E side) then travel via A48 overbridge to Gabalfa Interchange and Whitchurch Road where they will return to their normal routes.
Please note, the bus stop on The Gateway (A&E) will be the only bus stop in use in the hospital grounds for services 8, 9 & 9A during the closure.

Service 15
Journeys towards Heath Hospital will follow their normal route to Gabalfa Interchange then enter the hospital via the A48 slip road and The Gateway (A&E) where journeys will end. 
Journeys from the hospital will start on The Gateway (A&E side) then travel via A48 overbridge to Gabalfa Interchange and Western Avenue where they will continue along their normal route.
Please note, the bus stop on The Gateway (A&E) will be the only bus stop in use in the hospital grounds for service 15 during the closure.

Service 51
Buses will follow their normal route to Heath Hospital (Ty Maeth) and will then divert via the A48 overbridge to Gabalfa Interchange and Caerphilly Road before returning to its normal route.
Please note, the Ty Maeth bus stop will be the only stop in use in the hospital grounds for service 51 during the closures.

Service 53
Buses will follow their normal route to Caerphilly Road/Birchgrove then divert via Gabalfa Interchange, the A48 slip road and The Gateway to Ty Maeth before continuing along their normal route.

Service 64
Buses will follow their normal route to Caerphilly Road/Birchgrove then divert via Gabalfa Interchange, the A48 slip road and The Gateway (A&E) where journeys will end. 
Buses from the hospital will begin their journeys on The Gateway (A&E side of the road) then divert via the A48 overbridge to Gabalfa Interchange and Caerphilly Road before continuing along its normal route.
Please note, the bus stop on The Gateway (A&E) will be the only bus stop in use in the hospital grounds for service 15 during the closure.

Service 95
Buses will follow their normal route to Ty Maeth in the hospital then stop at the bus stop outside the multi-story car park (opposite the Sports and Social Club) before circling the roundabout and returning along King George V Drive East out of the hospital and returning to their normal route.

Back
