Caerphilly 10K Run - Sunday 18th June 2017

Stagecoach Bus routes affected: 26, 50, A, B, C, C16

Caerphilly Town will host the Bryn Meadows 10K Run on Sunday 18th June 2017. As a result there will be some disruption to Stagecoach buses from the start of service until 12:00.

Firstly, Caerphilly Interchange and bus stops at Southgate Square, Castle Entrance and Ton-y-felin Chapel will not be in use until after 12:00

Before 12:00 all buses on routes 26, 50, C16, A, B & C will use alternative bus stops around the town centre and will subject to diversions as follows:

26        Blackwood – Caerphilly – Cardiff

  • 0840 from Blackwood will operate its normal route to The Piccadilly then use Mill Road (Sop Pc) then operate on diversion resuming its normal route at Martin’s Farm
  • 0940 from Blackwood will operate its normal route to The Cedar Tree then on diversion resuming its normal route from Crescent Road (Stop Nb)
  • 1025 from Cardiff will operate its normal route to The Piccadilly, stop at Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S) then resume its normal route from The Piccadilly.
  • 1040 from Blackwood The Piccadilly, stop at Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S) then resume its normal route from Crescent Road (Stop Nb)

 

50        Newport – Caerphilly – Bargoed 

  • 0902 from Bargoed will operate its normal to The Cedar Tree then operate on diversion stopping at St. Martin’s Church (Stop Za). It will then operate on diversion via A470 and M4 to Newport Bus Station (arriving at Newport Bus Station at approximately 1045). Another bus will start in Bedwas Square at 0948 and operate as normal to Newport.
  • 1002 from Bargoed will not operate
  • 0950 from Newport will not serve Caerphilly Town. It will operate its normal route to Bedwas Bridge then operate along Caerphilly bypass to Llanbradach resuming its normal route from Pwllypant/The Cedar Tree. Passengers from Newport, Machen etc wishing to travel to Caerphilly can change to Route A at the Welsh Government Offices (Bedwas).
  • 1102 from Bargoed will operate its normal route to The Piccadilly then use Castle Court Bandstand. It will then operate on diversion resuming its normal route from Bedwas Road Newsagent.
  • 1111 from Lower Machen will operate its normal route to Bedwas Bridge then operate on

diversion to Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S) then resume its normal route from The Piccadilly (Stop Pc)

 

A         Caerphilly – Graig-y-Rhacca

  • 0914 from Graig-y-Rhacca will operate its normal route to Bedwas Bridge then operate on diversion and will terminate at St. Martin’s Church (Stop Za). It is likely to arrive at Caerphilly between 5-15 later than normal.
  • 0955 from Caerphilly will start from Pandy Road at 1005
  • 1014 from Graig-y-Rhacca will operate its normal route to Bedwas Bridge then operate on diversion and will terminate at Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S). It is likely to arrive at Caerphilly between 5-15 later than normal.   
  • 1055 to Graig-y-Rhacca will not operate
  • 1114 from Graig-y-Rhacca will not operate
  • 1155 from Caerphilly will start from Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S) and operate on diversion resuming its normal route from Bedwas Road Newsagent.

 

B         Cardiff – Caerphilly – Senghenydd

  • 0912 from Senghenydd will operate its normal route to St. Cenydd Road Prebyterian Church then operate on diversion and terminate at St. Martin’s Church (Stop Za)
  • 0950 from Caerphilly will start at St. Martin’s Church (Stop Za) and operate on diversion resuming its normal route from St. Cenydd Road Presbyterian Church.
  • 1012 and 1112 from Senghenydd will operate its normal route the Piccadilly, stop at Castle Court Bandstand then operate on diversion resuming its normal route from Watford Park
  • 1010 and 1110 from Cardiff will operate its route to Watford then operate on diversion with the next stop being Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S). It will resume its normal route to Senghenydd from the Piccadilly

 

C         Caerphilly – Penyrheol 

  • 1000 from Caerphilly will start at St. Martin’s Church (Stop Za) and operate on diversion resuming its normal route from The Bowls. It will not serve Mill Road.
  • 1014 from Penyrheol will operate its normal route to Caerphilly bus terminate at Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S)

 

C16     Caerphilly – Nelson 

  • 1050 from Caerphilly will start at Castle Court Bandstand (Stop S) and resume its normal route from The Piccadilly.

 

Due to the nature of the event and diversions in place there will be some delays to services during and immediately after the event.
