Disruptions

Some First Cymru services will be changing their timetables from Sunday 10th April 2016. Please see the new timetable details below:

Metro 4 (Singleton Hospital - City Centre - Morriston Hospital):
The Monday to Friday frequency will be increased to every 12 minutes.
In response to customer comments the service will only use ‘Metro’ designated bus stops (thise showing the large red ‘m’ logo), this will make the service more reliable and slightly faster.
Sunday service 4 renumbered to 4A to match Parc Gwernfadog diversions.

4A (City Centre - Parc Gwernfadog):
The Monday to Saturday daytime service will be replaced by service 14 (see below).
The Monday to Saturday evening service remains unchanged.
Sunday service 4 renumbered to 4A to match Parc Gwernfadog diversions.
Please note that Rhodfa’r Dryw and Rhodfa’r Wennol will no longer be served by the 4, 4A or 14.

6 (City Centre - Port Tennant):
Minor retiming of afternoon journeys.

14 (Pennard - City Centre - Morriston - Clydach):
Monday to Saturday frequency to Pennard increased to hourly from every 90 and the service will be merged with Service X52 and run via Parc Gwernfadog to Craig Cefn Parc.
The new service will provide a direct cross-city link from Pennard/Bishopston to the Railway Station, Liberty Stadium and Morriston.

The route between Ynystawe & Parc Gwernfadog will be via Christopher Rd, Butterslade Rd, Heol Dolfein, Dee Place, Rhodfa Fadog, Rhodfar Eos, Heol Y Fran then on to current 4A route to Morriston.

16 (City Centre - Gowerton - Pontarddulais - Llanelli):
The Monday to Saturday 1745 and 1815 journeys from Swansea will  terminate at Pontarddulais.

24 (City Centre - Caemawr - Morriston Hospital):
The Monday to Friday 1740 departure from Swansea will leave 10 minutes later.

25 (City Centre - Blaen y Maes):
The route will be altered to run directly via Pentregethin Road instead of Manselton Road.
The Sunday and evening service will be rerouted to match the daytime timetable.

27A (Ravenhill Depot - City Centre):
Service amended to match other service changes.

28 (City Centre - Penlan):
The Monday to Saturday daytime route will be altered to run via Manselton in place of service 25.
The evening route will be unaffected.
There will be a NEW Sunday service, running to Penplas and Penlan.

31-33 (City Centre - Birchgrove/Trallwn/Neath):
Journey times and route standardised to improve punctuality.
The little used 0615 Swansea to Trallwn will no longer run.
The 0713 Trallwn to Swansea will run 5 minutes earlier to improve reliability.
After 2000, service 31 will run from Swansea to Birchgrove, the final journey from Morriston Hospital will leave at 2005.
Service 32 journey times and route standardised to match services 31 and 33 between
Trallwn and Swansea to improve punctuality. Minor route alteration between Birchgrove and Bowen Arms.
There will be additional evening journeys on service 32 to replace those currently on service 58. These journeys will not serve Birchgrove.

X32 (Neath - Enterprise Park - Swansea):
Service renumbered 34 to avoid confusion with service 32. The service is rerouted to run between Liberty Stadium and Swansea Bus Station via the Express Busway and Railway Station.

36 (City Centre - Clase - Morriston):
Morning and evening peak journeys will get additional running time to reflect increasing traffic levels.
There will be one extra Monday to Saturday evening journey between Morriston and Treboeth.

51 (Three Crosses - DVLA):
The service will run 3 minutes earlier.

111 (City Centre - Gorseinon - Llanelli):
Service 111 is altered to operate via Parc Pemberton and Parc Trostre, providing a 15 minute service to the popular retail shopping area. The Monday to Friday and Saturday service 111 will run via Llwynhendy.
Parc Trostre is also served by Service X11, giving a total of 6 journeys per hour from Swansea to Llanelli.

X4 (Neath - Port Talbot - Bridgend):
The service will run via the A48 at Baglan, instead of Old Road.

X10 (Swansea - Cardiff):
The early morning/evening journeys from/to Sketty are reinstated. There will be extra running time to take account of peak traffic levels around Cardiff.

X11 (Swansea - Llanelli/Carmarthen):
The Monday to Saturday timetable will be adjusted to give extra running time outbound from Swansea to take account of traffic levels.

X13 (Swansea - Ammanford/Llandeilo):
The Monday to Saturday extensions between Ammanford and Brynamman will be withdrawn but service 124 will be amended accordingly.

X52 (Craig Cefn Parc - City Centre):
The service will be replaced by extended Service 14 via Parc Gwernfadog. Customers in the Clydach area will therefore have a direct service to Swansea Seafront, Singleton Hospital/University, Blackpill and Pennard Cliffs. See service 14 (above) for revised timetable.

X55 (Swansea - Glynneath):
Running times between Neath and Llandarcy will be standardised.

The 0710 from Swansea will run 7-8 minutes earlier between Crynant and Banwen.

The route will be changed to run via Ffordd Amazon instead of Elba Crescent.

58 (Swansea - Neath) :
Following the withdrawal of financial support for the evening service by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, First has continued to operate the route on a commercial basis.  With the provision of regular services to Swansea University Bay Campus providing buses along Fabian Way, the decision has been taken to reroute the Neath service via Trallwn, Peniel Green and Skewen as service 32, giving a greater coverage for potential customers.

The 1745 service 71 from Bridgend will be converted to service 70 (i.e. running via Garth).

906 (Min yr Awel - Neath College):
The morning journey will terminate at the college.

907 (Coelbren - Neath College):
The 0747 from Coelbren will run 5 minutes earlier, to give the bus time to make the next journey punctually.
