Flooding update: 10:30 @ 02/12/15
Llandrinio Bridge Closure
Can passengers along route 74 (Llanfyllin - Four Crosses - Shrewsbury) please be aware that due to the flooding over the last day or so that damage has been caused to Llandrinio Bridge.
This has meant the immediate closure of the bridge until repairs are made, the repairs will not be evaluated until the water level has reduced. With this in mind there will be an adjusted timetable to allow the service to divert via Buttington & Princes Oak.
The timetable tomorrow will be:-
0915 from Llanfyllin will operate as normal route to Llandrinio (Trawscoed) then head back towards Welshpool and take the Shrewsbury road from Buttington. Once at Halfway House it will operate via Princes Oak to Crew Green then normal route to Shrewsbury
1145 from Shrewsbury will leave Shrewsbury at 1215 but only operate as far as Crew Green/Bausley Estate
1255 from Llanymynech will start at 1310 from Bausley Estate - this of course will mean NO connection with service 72 from Llanfyllin at 1230
1355 from Shrewsbury will operate the reverse route as the 0915 from Llanfyllin. The connection with 14.22 X71 will take place in Four Crosses NOT Llanymymech.
1810 from Ford will operate as a request stop only as per passenger's on board.
If the bridge is still closed over the course of the rest of the week this
timetable will remain in place. There will be another timetable update for Saturdays which will be released in due course.
***Service 74 update*
After discussions with Powys County Council & Tanat Valley the revised Saturday timetable is as follows:-
0715 from Llanfyllin will not operate.
0819 from Ford Village will not operate
0915 from Llanfyllin will operate via the current diversion
1145 from Shrewsbury will again leave at 1215 and only operate as far as Bausley Estate
1254 from Llanymynech will start from 1310 from Bausley Estate and again there will be no connection with service 72
1355 from Shrewsbury will operate as per the diversion round Buttington.
1515 from Llanfyllin will approx 5/10mins late throughout the timetable
1635 from Shrewsbury will leave approx 5/10 mins late dependant on how late the 1515 runs late from Llanfyllin
1810 from Ford will connect with Celtic Travel and run as request to drop off only
