Travelling to the Six Nations at the Principality Stadium? Make sure you have all the information you’ll need on transport arrangements and road closures that will be in place on match days, whilst soaking up rugby atmosphere!

It’s that time of year again! The Six Nations has returned, and we’re certainly getting the rugby fever as we look forward to cheering on Wales throughout the competition!

If you’re a Cardiff local, it’ll be no surprise that the Welsh capital comes alive during rugby season, with fans from up and down the country joining together to enjoy the games. Now the Six Nations is well and truly underway, excitement is starting to buzz as Wales will be taking on Scotland, France and Italy at the Principality Stadium in the coming weeks.

With the games so close, we wanted to give you a rundown of our top tips to make this Six Nations one to remember!

1. Find all your transport information

Excited to be watching the Six Nations at the Principality Stadium? If you’re lucky enough to have grabbed a ticket to one of the matches, we’re here to make sure you have all the transport information you’ll need to make your way around the city.

There will be a number of road closures in place throughout Cardiff on the match days, with some transport operators diverting their bus services as a result. With thousands of fans expected to hit the city centre, hopping on the bus can be a great way to save you the trouble of trying to find a good parking space and being caught in the traffic.

Wales v Scotland, Saturday 13th February
Wales v France, Friday 26th February
Wales v Italy, Saturday 19th March

Twitter is a great place to talk to others online about the games, and to see what everyone else is getting up to in the city! During the match days, we’ll be retweeting updates from transport operators throughout the day, so you can keep an eye on what’s happening whilst you’re on the go.

3. Not sure of any changes? Give us a call!

4. Not going to the Six Nations? Just come along for the atmosphere!

Missed out on tickets? We know the feeling! However, as many rugby fans will no doubt know, the atmosphere is all part of the experience, and there’s plenty of chance to have a great time celebrating the Six Nations outside of the stadium doors.

Cardiff is a hub of activity on match days, with many pubs playing the match on the TV; a great chance to hop on the bus and enjoy a celebratory drink whilst enjoying the game!

If the pubs aren’t for you, having a wonder around the city centre is sure to be a sight to see, with fans dressing up in their best Welsh outfits and getting into the Six Nations spirit. Why not catch the bus or train to town for a look around the shops, or watch the entertainment unfold outside one of Cardiff’s café’s?
